Expertise Contributions*
Whilst much research uses play as a means to achieve a set goal for all children, including children with disabilities e.g educational attainment,, physical development and so forth. Children do not play for these reasons. Play is ‘fun’ and is intrinsically motivated for the children themselves. Thus, I am a strong supporter of play for the sake of play, in and of itself without an adult defined function to the process. I am an experienced child researcher in the area of children’s play and participatory research methodologies with children to enable their ‘voice’ within research findings and policy reviews
